When EndNote is installed, a new ribbon will appear in Micorsoft Word. This facilitates instant insertion of one or more references into your text, and instantly adds the reference to the reference list. This is known as Cite While You Write (CWYW). The document you produce will include hidden field codes containing EndNote data for the reference.
